Women tend to get ingrown hairs from shaving their face with a razor with more than one edge. The first two blades are dull on a two or three-bladed razor. A woman's hair is very fine so shaving it with a 2 or 3 blade razor, the cut hair snaps back below the surface, but it is not coarse or strong, and it often gets trapped below the skin's surface as it grows back.
